Twiztids spiderwebs The Lyrics To seven By Boondox The Meaning Behind Horror Raps Eerie Text

Its not news that horror rap is meant to be eerie. Its one of the few musical genres out there that can be understood by its name. That said, what else is there to songs like Twiztids “Spiderwebs” and ICPs “Riddlebox”? What about to words like those in Boondoxs “Seven” lyrics? Surely these song titles and lyrics (especially the lyrics to Boondoxs “Seven”) cant strictly be about what their titles imply. Lets take a closer look.

An excerpt from Twiztids “Spiderwebs”:

Im tangled in the spiderwebs and cant get out
Its like youre breakin my heart when you open your mouth
Its like youre so excited when youre bringin me down

Clearly, Twiztids “Spiderwebs” is about a girl and heartbreak. The Spiderwebs that Madrox and Monoxide Child are talking about in Twiztids “Spiderwebs” are a device used to describe just how tangled they feel in this messy relationship. Twiztids spiderwebs in this case dont really exist at all, which actually is a pretty common occurrence to stumble upon when analyzing horror rap songs.

For another example besides that of Twiztids “Spiderwebs”, lets examine ICPs “Riddlebox” song. If we were to look at the entire ICP Riddlebox album wed find many examples of this same occurrence, probably too many to discuss.

An excerpt from ICPs “Riddlebox”:

Turn the crank
And experience whats in store for you
Deep with the mighty Riddlebox

The ICP Riddlebox Jokers card has to do with determining the fate of your afterlife. Will Juggalos spend eternity in eternal peace up in heaven? Or will they spend it burning down below? ICPs Riddlebox will be the decider, and such is the core subject of this song. ICPs Riddlebox (both the album and song) wouldnt be worth much if they were about a simple Riddlebox, now would they? Because Twiztid doesnt have a mythology to back them up, the meaning of Twiztids “Spiderwebs” is less obvious to fans.

By turning the ICP Riddlebox into something with magical powers, theyve not only sparked interest amongst Juggalo listeners, but simultaneously turned the ICP Riddlebox into part of Insane Clown Posse and horror rap lore.

Finally, lets take a look at lyrics to a horror rap song that on the surface appear to not be eerie at all, lyrics to Boondoxs Seven.

A look at Boondoxs “Seven” lyrics:

A demon spawn child of a bastard son
Seven born at seven and the seventh child fathered one

The point of seven in the Boondoxs “Seven” lyrics isnt as obvious as the meaning of Twiztids “Spiderwebs.” Yes we can see that seven makes a repeated appearance in the chorus lyrics to Boondoxs “Seven,” but what is the significance of the number seven in Boondoxs “Seven” lyrics? Could the use of this number in Boondoxs “Seven” Lyrics be meant to display the character in this song is perfectly evil? The number 7 is used to mean luck and power around the world
